Students have the ability to:

While the ultimate responsibility for making educational planning decisions rests with students, the academic counselors/advisors are committed to the following objectives:

  1. Teaching students about degree requirements, university policies, procedures, support resources, and educational opportunities relevant to their educational goals
  2. Clarifying, interpreting, and applying academic policies and requirements as needed
  3. Assisting students in the selection of appropriate courses and other educational experiential opportunities
  4. Ensuring compliance with university policies regarding academic standing and satisfactory academic progress
  5. Fostering meaningful adviser-advisee relationships that focus on the unique growth and development of each student
  6. Providing accurate information about academic programs and educational opportunities

Academic advisors/counselors serve as mentors to help you meet your academic goals and enhance your learning objectives.

Students are assigned a specific academic advisor by programs of study; you can schedule an appointment through our student success network via uSucceed.  

They advise you on degree requirements, academic standing, concentrations, course registration, full-time enrollment and more.
